We are a civil construction company looking at the various options for creating a MS SQL database for Sage 300 or a custom solution that is completely suited for our needs. The objective is to create "modules" that can be sequentially integrated into the work process as the system evolves. The first process would be estimating & general accounting modules. Estimating would be based on a cost code defined WBS and push thru at the cost code level to the accounting module. Ideally, we would like input from people with past experience and familiarity with this type of system and then depending on the amount of interest and feedback, we can prepare a detailed RFQ.
