It will be a standalone that offers the Generic text / and a similar generic Calandar Clock version. Enter the dates and it starts. It will also have an alarm go off when the event takes place. You can set multiple events if you would like. The software also works as an alarm clock, and will allow you to set daily alarms based on the day of the week. When the alarm rings, user has a chance to click snooze or dismiss the alarm.
This can be built as a stand alone desktop app or a windows gadget.
