I'm very interested in this project, I've done projects before which crawl through sites to get information and/or copy the site. I can easily turn it into scrapping data to use for the search engine. Also, I've worked with search engine logic before to take multiple items into consideration when ordering the results. I will use open source software like apache nutch and apache solr to crawl and search the result.

I know of a readily available PHP based search engine that I can install and configure for your website which will do this for you. It has an administration panel and a built in crawler. I use it on my site. I can put it on your server in less than a day and add a search box to at least one of your pages (more if you don't have a huge website).
