Stage 2 Task Requirements:
Business Overview:
• Customers will be registering for requesting a quote for insurance through our website.
• Customers put their details while registering. After that they should be given a username and password to check the status of the quote.
• Once the quote is ready they should be able to view the full details of the insurance quote.
• We have a separate backend web application to filter and view the customer requests.
• Back end web app will be used by insurer providing the quote.
• Insurer should be able to view the customer requests and create a quote based on the request.
• Insurer can re-use the same quote which was provided to another user or create a new one.
Customer Web App: (Front End)
1. Registration Screen to enter all the details of the customer for requesting the quote.
2. Login screen to check the status of the quote.
3. Quote view screen once the Quote is ready to view.
Insurer Web App: (Back Office)
1. A screen to search and filter customers based on following fields.
a. Customer Age
b. Insurance Type
c. Customer Location
d. Number of Years of Insurance
e. Cover Amount Range
2. Search field text boxes should have auto complete using JQuery wherever necessary.
3. Insurer should be able to create or re-use the quote by clicking a button in the screen for each customer.
4. Create quote should be done in an Ajax Popup using Microsoft Ajax.
5. Screen should support pagination in combination with filters (ref point 1) and sorting.
Implementation Requirements:
• You should use all the technologies mentioned in the document.
• You should showcase your talent in the technology, standards and perfection.
• Any information missing in the business requirements can be filled in your own showcasing your understanding ability of the business requirements.
• Try to follow standards in the naming conventions, code, js, html, css and also the overall architecture.
