Using the data in the attached Excel work book:
1) Clean up the raw data using the following criteria:
a) Drop firms that do not have complete records for all variables, specifically: investment, cash flow, Tobin Q, sales and investments
b) Drop firms with less than 3 years of continuous observations
c) To control for the potential influence of outliers, exclude observations in the 1% tails for each of the regression variables.
2) Demean each variable by firms to remove the firm fixed effects for the whole period;
3) Use the regression model in the attached word document to estimate the relationship between the variables for each firm and for each year;
4) Provide your results within 18 hours
