Arduino Expert Required to code an interactive display

Hello, I can implement for you an Arduino sketch that will show images on an LED display based on the distance of the viewer to a ultrasonic sensor (something like the user's hand gets closer the image is changed). The speed at which the image could be changed is dependent on how fast the display can refresh, it is a hardware problem not something that can be solved from software. We can discuss the details if you are interested to work with me. I assume that you want to have a display attached to the Arduino, alternatively if you want to keep the Arduino connected to a computer you can use the computer display to show the images. Obviously second approach has the potential to be much faster than the display attached to the Arduino. Thanks, Paul

Hello. That's not clear from you description: do you need to connect that sensor to PC - or use a little display for Arduino? The price for the 1-st variant will be lower. For the 2-nd variant the fastest solution is an Arduino Mega and 4" display shield, otherwise the speed of the refreshment of the pictures will be too slow.

Hi I am a product development engineer with a Mechanical and Space Engineering Degree from Australia. Your project sounds simple enough, the most important thing is how you are going to display the images, do you have a screen attached to the Uno also, if so does it have its own on board microprocessor? Or is the Uno communicating with a PC and providing instruction to change the content on the PC display? As your screen refresh rate is dictated by the method you choose, the Uno whilst useful is not great at loading complex images quickly and may cause a bottleneck. So I would suggest you look into a screen with a built in microprocessor or just use the Uno to provide a 'change image to X' instruction. Contact me and we can determine the best way to proceed.
