I'm an experienced Web Developer / Software Developer working since 1996 in this field, with 5+ years experience in PHP, ASP, HTML, CSS and Javascript (JQuery & Ajax), 8 years in Delphi and 1 year in Java, 2 years of experience in programming stored procedures, triggers, creating tables and relationships for SQL Server, and 10 years in mySQL; 2 year in Solr/Lucene (for full-text searches), Redis and CouchDB. Since 2007, I am responsible for the web development/design and server configuration of the brazilian news search engine "Hoje Noticias", developed in PHP, mySQL, XML, Smarty (a template engine for PHP) and Solr/Lucene for full-text searches. It has a crawler (HnBot) who crawls news every hour from several web sources, and makes use of XPATH and Regular Expressions to extract title, descriptions, date, etc. from the news.
