Call+SMS Bluetooth daemon for Windows Mobile Pocket PC

**I need a developer to write an executable (BluePhoneEXT) to run as a background daemon on Windows Mobile (PocketPC) phones and implement remote call and SMS functionality on a new Bluetooth channel. This is a _SERIOUS_ bid request that requires _experience_, adherence to a _timeline_ and _good communication skills_. Please _DO NOT BID_ if you are planning on learning-as-you-go or if you cannot make this project a priority.**

**Features:**

* Installer that can add/remove the background daemon

* Daemon creates a serial Bluetooth channel on the phone, registers it in the SDP, and listens for incoming connections

* Daemon sends and receives the proprietary AT Commands described in the implementation description including:

* Managing information about the phone's make, model and state

* Managing incoming and outgoing calls

* Managing incoming, outgoing and stored SMS

* Managing the phone's address book

The first deadline of this project is _two weeks_ from the starting date. This is an important deadline as it confirms that you can meet goals and that you have the required experience. _The project will be canceled if this deadline is not met._

## Deliverables

Developer Requirements

* Experience with Bluetooth and SMS.

* Access to a Mac running OS X.

* Access to at least one phone of each OS version listed below.

Timeline Requirements

* Weekly status reports are a requirement.

* Development should begin on Windows Mobile 2003 and then port to the other platforms.

* **By the end of week 2** the developer will deliver an executable that opens a Bluetooth channel and has a basic AT Command interpreter. The interpreter doesn't need to respond with more than OK or ERROR at this point.

* **By the end of week 6** the developer will deliver an alpha version for internal testing that includes full implementation of the basic commands described in the implementation description as well as call dialing and SMS sending.

* **By the end of week 10** the developer will deliver a beta version of the installer and daemon for limited public testing that includes full implementation of all of the commands described in the implementation description. **The first payment (50% of the winning bid) will be made once the installer and daemon have been delivered.**

* **In the _remaining_ 12 weeks** the developer will resolve any outstanding bugs with the software. **The second payment (50%) will be made once all outstanding bugs have been resolved.**

Deliverable Requirements

* Easily installable package containing the complete and fully-functional installer and daemon (different installer packages may be required for different target platforms).

* Complete source code, graphics and all other resources for of all work done.

* Deliverables may be made available to the public for testing purposes. All bug reports that are found to be caused by BluePhoneEXT will be forwarded to the BluePhoneEXT developer. All outstanding bugs must be resolved before final payment will be made.

* All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
