Auto-update Library

I need to have a DLL to be linked into a BHO hosted by IE to auto-update the BHO. This DLL should make use of IE for all external communication in order to remain as small as possible. This DLL will work in the following manner: 1) Upon BHO loading, the update function will query a URL for a text file containing a version number and location of a DLL to download. The file format will be: , 2) If the version number in the text file is greater than the version number found in the BHO (defined as #BHO_VERSION x.x.x) the newer DLL will be downloaded. 3) When the download has completed, the update function will place instructions into the registry to rename the file to one specified in the function. These instructions will be executed ideally on the next browser start, if not possible, upon next reboot. *The update function must be silent and not create any prompts or notifications. *The update function must operate asynchronously with IE so that the user can continue browsing the web as the new DLL is downloaded. *The function must be able to download and rename multiple DLLs. *The file delimiter can be modified to tab, |,; or whatever would make this an easier project. *An example version file could be: 3.14159 test.dll.3.14159,c:\temp\[login to view URL] test2.dll.3.14159,c:\[login to view URL] ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional demonstration of working auto-update DLL in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done for auto-update functions and demo. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
