Credit card integration for authorization/pending transactions for wordpress website

Hi, I have a wordpress website which allows people to share items with each other. Currently i have it integrated with PayPal for paying fees and putting deposits for items being shared. However, instead of charging the customer's credit card for the deposit i would like to only authorize and block the amount on the customer's credit card which will then be returned once the item is returned back. This is similar to renting a car or checking into a hotel where they block a certain amount on your credit card and then return it back once you return the car or checkout from the hotel. The charge would usually show up on your credit card as "Pending". The site use's the Auction script template from [login to view URL] and is fully coded in PHP with a MySQL backend on a dedicated Linux server. I need someone that is experienced in credit card integration and knows how to implement the functionality i described earlier. The site already supports charging customers' credit cards, so that's not what i need. I need the ability to ONLY authorize a credit card for a certain amount as a deposit. If the item is returned undamaged then the amount is returned to the credit card. If the item is lost or damaged then i need to either take the entire deposit or return a partial amount. So you'll need to build this functionality and any security measures around it to protect whatever sensitive data you would be storing in the database. Ideally i would rather not save any sensitive information on my server to avoid being the target of hackers. Please reach out to me with any questions. I need this completed within 2 weeks.
