access file greater than 259 chr.

since windows file system does not support filenames greater than 259 letters. i need a way around this for various reasons.

i need the following functions.

1. pass function a filename

function checks if filename is greater than 259 if it is it

creates a way to access this file. the one method i know of

is to map a virtual drive letter to the folder using the subst

command. obviously you cant use a shell command to do it

but i have seen code around to do this using API.

function returns the new file name.

2. create folder [pass function a foldername]

if foldername is greater than 259 then it creates the folder

and all its parent folders that are needed. returns the foldername to use

3. close file/directory. [optional filename/directory]

by executing this command whatever method was used to open/access the files and folders will be un-done. but only for the file/folder that is specified. or all.
