COMPARE AND REPORT DIFFERENCES IN FILES WITHIN SERVERS USING VBSCRIPT

I was given a small project to write a VBSCRIPT program to do the following: Specs: Ability to compare servers within an environment to ensure the files are the same on all of the servers for that environment. ## Deliverables Specs: Ability to compare servers within an environment to ensure the files are the same on all of the servers for that environment. For example in Production: prdeweb01, prdiweb01, prdeweb05, prdiweb05,prdeweb07, prdiweb07 all contain the same files starting at the components folder and at the eBusiness folder. I also need the ability to compare all the files from one environment to another environment, for example QA against Production. The application servers need to be compared as a group and the web servers would be compared as another group. The VB script would need to have: Variable to declare the root folder (directory) for the components and for the web pages for the web servers Variable to declare the root folder (directory) for the components for the application servers Variable to declare the master web server name to be used as the server to compare against Variable to declare the master application server name to be used as the server to compare against Array to hold the web server names Array to hold the application server names A constant for ProdWebServers that contains comma separated list of web servers, same for ProdAppServers, QAWebServers, QAAppServers, and so on for each environment (PROD and QA). for now. The logic of the VB Script needs to be: Outer loop to process the Web servers then the App servers (for loop 1 to 2) Inner loop to process all the web servers in the web server array (do or for loop) Inner loop to process each root folder on that server The log file needs to be a single file.
