BETDAQ API VB

Hi,

I am a moderate VB coder.? I have successfully developed a semi automated trading system for the Betfair API based around their [url removed, login to view] example using VB6 and MS SOAP3.

I am now looking to develop a similar system for the BETDAQ API.

My problem is that they do not provide a similar working example and, wishing the BETDAQ client to use the same architecture, have been unable to successfully connect to their service using VB6/VBA/SOAP3.

All I require is a very BASIC example, (2 or 3 functions should be enough) of how to get the BETDAQ return XML from their API using the constraints of VB6/VBA/SOAP3.? No interface is required, as long as I could verify the data is being returned (I am using winhttptracecfg for testing) I should be able to parse it myself.?

My preferred solution (simplistic, no classes), would be along the lines of the <[url removed, login to view]> example, or the BabelFish example at <[url removed, login to view]([url removed, login to view]).aspx>.? My attempts to use either of these methods or even the examples themselves always result in the undocumented error "Method 'End Message' of object 'ISoapConnector' failed" (usually '5053', which in winhttptracecfg equates to the generic error " HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found").?

As this could conceivably be an environment problem, I'd better be clear about my environment:?

However, my Betfair client is proven to be flexible in its working environment including Vista, but this uses a slightly different (complex, loads of classes, and my least preferred) solution.? See the Sample Spreadsheet at <[url removed, login to view]>.?

As I mentioned, 2 or 3 function examples would probably be enough, but if you already have something to hand that could save me the slog, I'm obviously open to bids!?

Minimum functions I require are the "read only" ones at [[url removed, login to view] ][1]ListTopLevelEvents

Also maybe a "secure" one from <[url removed, login to view]>

This I intend to use as a pseudo login (BETDAQ requires that you pass your credentials each call in a header.? How quaint?? Betfair passes you a token at the initial login and renews it after each call.)?

I would like these examples in either VB6 or Excel 2002 VBA.?
