determining variable for # of vouchers sold

I have Alstrasoft Groupon clone software (PHP) modified to perform counting of # of people buying a deal. The variable for # of people buying a deal is said to be: $team['now_number'] The number derived from this variable shows on the first page of the website, and is counted to determine if a deal is tipped (or on). I need to know what this variable needs to be changed to in order to instead of counting the # of people buying a deal: $team['now_number'], the # of deals sold per item. I need to know this as soon as possible, and a developer already knows where to install this variable, so the project could be to just give the variable to substitute, if installing and testing it would take a lot of time to determine placement, or it could be to determine the variable, install it and test it.
