Copy excel data to text file

I have streaming data being updated constantly in Excel. The number of rows being updated does not change; each row will contain a unique code as well as other data. I need to copy this data into a text file periodically. After a while the text file can be closed and a new one opened (the name can be based on date and time to ensure uniqueness). The data from the closed text file would then need to be copied across into multiple Excel files - this would be decided by the unique code mentioned above....there would be one Excel sheet per unique code (mentioned above) and the data would be added to the sheet. Multiple rows in the closed text file will contain the unique code. I have Windows XP Pro and Microsoft Office 2007 on my PC.
