Convert a J2ME application into Iphone App

We have a J2ME application which is basically a drill down three of a directory of service providers, with some search funcionality and option to save the favorites. We would like to develop the very same application, now for Iphone. We do not expect a simple conversion of the application, since we would like the new interface for Iphone to take full advantage of the very sophisticated interface. A run time application will be provided for the selected bidders during the selection process. We are very new to Iphone and we would appreaciate guidance from the bidders on how to approach this task. To facilitate your analysis, I am describing the functionalities, translating each option. Firstly and foremost, let me explain what the application is all about. It is a directory, like a phone book. It has, currently, service providers of medical services. The Drill down is just a list that goes selecting first, the Type of Plan (not important, is just a category), then then it goes until it reaches the name of a service provider. When the service provide is selected, all the data related to that service provider is displayed, and the application give the option to add to favorites and to call the service provider, using the Phone number for the patient. One very important note: All the data is stored on the IPhone, not download from the internet everytime the users access it. Currently, we use a very good compression algorithm so that it will fit in a regular entry level cell phone. I am not sure how important it would be for Iphone but be aware that sometimes he have over 70.000 lines in the database. I can provide a sample .CSV with content if needed. STRINGS TRANSLATED.
