You know those scripts you see everywhere for use in conjunction with ActiveX prompts? The ones that you can set to ask 3 times instead of once for "Yes/No" to download the signed control?
I NEED ONE OF THOSE. Evidently having someone write one for me, now a month has gone by and I've gotten NO WHERE. He tried to write one with an .ocx as the control and a .js (Javascript file) and some javascript in a .html and its the most unstable unworking piece of crap I ever had the dishonour of wasting my time and 40 email/replies back and forth about.
What is the big deal? I have a Thawte Microsoft Authenticode, Code Signing Certificate, and what I need is simple and I see them ALL OVER the damn place. Is there anyone out there with a premade script that just needs configuring or that is INTELLIGENT enough to write one that actually WORKS in a REASONABLE amount of time?
It needs to do this:
1.) Be editable for the amount of times the ActiveX dialog prompts
2.) on clicking "Yes" on the signed ActiveX prompt it downloads and runs my program, this is editable as well where I can update/change the URL to another file's directory.
3.) On clicking "No" it will prompt with a message -- I can make the message whatever I want. Your typical windows messagebox with an "OK" button -- they click "OK" -- it prompts and repeats this basic process until it reaches the end of the # of times I asked it to prompt.
3 steps. Must work on WinXP, Win2k, and WinME IE 5.5 - 6.0 + (whatever)
I will find it hard to believe that no one can do this or that someone out there on RAC doesn't already have this script sitting around that just need's editing.
