Automysql Cron Job Setup and Tutorial

I had automysql (<[login to view URL])> set up several months ago to save a backup of all databases, and files for each of the websites on our server. Since then I have changed passwords for databases and it will not backup unless the correct user and password are setup in the software. I need a quick tutorial on how to change user names and passwords in automysql, when I add a new website, how I set up a cron job to backup the database and files. etc. Also, I need a modification to the way it saves files other than the database. For instance, I need the images and php files for our sites to be stored seperately. Currently I have one website that has 30k images. When I make one typo in php and want to restore it takes hours to download and restore the backup! I also need all the files and folders to go to one websites backup folder so all the sites backups are in one place on the server to make for easier downloads. Last but not least, how I can download the data to my local desktop each day to archive on CD. There has to be some command that can "zap" them to my computer faster than downloading these huge zip files one by one! The most important part of this project is backup and restore of the databases. I will consider the job complete when all the information above is completed and I do one test backup and restore to make sure it is working properly.
