Code Fix - Referrer Check / redirect

I currently have some code in some of my pages. The code checks the referrer URL and if it is not one we approve then it sends the user away. This is to stop people accessing the page directly and to allow through only those who have found the page through a link on the partner site. We CANNOT use htaccess file to do this. The code works on all browsers EXCEPT Explorer (I think v. 6) The code is below. Can anyone find a solution so that we can achieve the required result on all browsers? If you know of a way to fix this successfully, then this is very easy money. If you don't know a way then please don't bid because I won't pay you if you cannot fix it!
