CHALLENGE: Make hotkeys two-character hotkeys instead of one-character hotkeys.

Please have a look at the following page: [login to view URL] Currently hotkeys consist of one character (the user does not have to press control first), please make it so that we only accept two-character hotkeys (so we will get around 1000 possible hotkeys instead of the current 30 or so). Please create a "time-out", meaning that if the user presses the wrong first hotkey, then he can wait 2 seconds before he can press a new first hotkey. Notice that if the user holds down a hotkey, then he can see a tooltip (unfortunatelly partially hidden). Please keep this tooltip, so that the user can see it while holding down the second hotkey. Currently, it is possible to utilize øæåØÆÅ as hotkeys, please keep it this way. The following video shows how to assign a hotkey and the result when using it: [login to view URL] Please also ensure that we can always use Control+F for the built in find function, so maybe this means that you have to make it so that the user cannot make any hotkey combinations involving the “f” key. Please also make it so that no characters that might have several purposes can be assigned as hotkeys. Currently, I believe that "backspace" can be assigned as hotkey which is unfortunate. "enter" and "space" keys are other ones and so on. Also it should not be possible to assign numbers as hotkeys, nor + nor -. I do not expect you to modify the persistence of hotkeys, as that will be done in a separate project afterwards (please indicate whether you are competent to do this using PostgreSQL). You can use jQuery to implement this. You need to make a pull request with some initial coding within 1 day of me awarding you this project.
