Database application including input/extraction tools Goal: Create a centralized data collection tool for custom analytics that has an interface that can easily upload data from existing spreadsheets to a database, and extract data using excel formulae. I want to upload data directly from my existing estimate models in Excel to a data warehouse. During the upload process, I wish to have an integrated data verification process to check all uploaded information. I want to combine my model data with market data and automatically feed both into the data warehouse. Once the data is uploaded, I want to also create charts and tables using the uploaded information. 1. Create a spreadsheet that can be uploaded with parameter labels vertically, and time periods horizontally. a. Each upload sheet will be populated with data with a parameter label associated with it. b. There will be two types of data: Actual and Estimated. If the number for the designated period, for a specific data point is an estimate, it will be designated by an “E??. Actuals will be labeled with an “A??. 2. Create an excel macro so that the uploaded information can be downloaded from the database into any spreadsheet by using a formula (maybe with a wizard with drilldowns). 3. For example: =BITS(“cell reference,?? parameter label, time period) 4. Time periods will be monthly, quarterly, and annual. 5. I should be able to add additional data parameter labels, like US_PERSHARE_EPS_DILUTED 6. I should be able to define the period end date example: calendar year, or fiscal year end, 12/31/06 or 09/30/07 7. Data storage: I don’t know what the best way to store the data is, either via a database, or any viable alternative. Suggestions welcome. ***I believe there are existing programs that do this, but i want to have one created that would be proprietary, and customized to my needs*** ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform I am running Windows XP
