Client server program help wanted

I have a server(win server 2003) and win xp clients(3 of them as of now)....the client needs to change a variable on the server and the value of the varible should be updated on all clients. The client can change the value of this variable using an ActiveX control as well unless u have a better solution....this variable is stored in a directshow filter. and a copy is also stored in the registry as well. located somewhere in HKEY...user defined var...I want to use ASP.NET and an ActiveX control to display the value of this variable..a simple slider control assuming that this would be the simplest solution..if u have any better thats great! I have a streaming server which is doing live motion detection...the clients must be able to change the threshold while watching the video in the IE window. I dont want them to have 2 seprate windows to control the motion detection and watch the video..thats y i need a web solution which will work inside IE..and preferably use ASP.NET. The activeX control code is available and can be modifiid. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
