Daily Inventory loading, weekly catalog loading, image conversion

We need three things to be done. Everyday a program running on our website should use FTP to download our daily inventory file from our distributor.? The inventory file is '|' delimited.? This file should be parsed and it should update all items in our database with the current inventory levels.? It should add new Genres/Categories if needed and should map up everything correctly in the database. Every week we have a similar '|' delimited file that needs to be loaded.? Basically the products from this distributor should be purged if they are no longer in the catalog file or added if they are not in the database.? The daily inventory files rely on these being present to set the daily inventory level. Every week we have other files that I (the admin) can upload and it should parse these and add the track information and other item information.? These does not need to be automatic. The third part is a program that uses our distributor's product number (######)? and the relating ######.jpg file and it should convert the image to our proper SKU number which is typically the UPC number.? Various sizes of these files should be created so they can be uploaded to our images directory for our shopping cart software.
