I am mainly looking for accurate information here. I need someone that has expertise or knowledge on how to create a website that can deliver ringtones and wallpapers to cellphones via a website. I already know how you can send them via email for phones that accept media files attachments, but what of those phones that do not allow that?
So, bascially when someone goes to a website that offers ringtones as a download, how is it sent to the phone from the website? I have already tested placing .mp3 and .wav files on a website and sending the phone's web broswer there, but if the phone does not have a media player, an Invalid content type shows up.
Show my main question is that if I wanted to have everyone that has a phone with the ability to have ringtones come to my website and get them regardless of phone brand or cell provider, how can I do that? And also, is there a different between sending an email with attachment to a phone and sending SMS? Please advise on these matters.
