Add Semantic Features to Task App

I need semantic text features added to a Task Reminder App. These features are similar to those found on [login to view URL] - where a user can enter a string such as "party next saturday" and the app can recognize the date and event from this string. Currently events are added to our task app via multiple text boxes (date, time, event etc.). Your task would be to develop a "quick add" feature that allows the user to simply enter a string such as "party this friday" and have the information extracted from this string. We plan on also integrating with the Twitter API in the future so users will be able to Direct message us from Twitter with a string. Your code will need to be extensible so this can be achieved at a later date.
