Create Custom Firmware for Android Device -- 2

My product is a Set Top Box (STB) utilizing Sigma Designs dual-core chipset that runs Android 4.4.3. I have had an application developed that I want to run on my device. When the device boots up I want my company logo animation to be seen in place of the Android boot animation. I also want my UI from my application to replace the standard Android UI. To do this I need to modify the Sigma Designs provide android source code.

I have run into an issue in pulling the source code from the repository. My windows machine is registered to their server but the instructions they have provided are for linux.

I need to perform the above using Windows git so that I can pull the files needed for the project.

I am looking for a resource with extensive knowledge in android, windows, linux and git need help pulling

- pulling source code from repository

- modifying the source to include

* replace boot animation

* add key code for remote controls

* make my app the UI to replace android UI

- create new firmware

- burn to storage device

- Install onto my device

I have instructions from the SoC provider to assist in the task. One of the issues is that I want to use windows to pull the data from the git repo.
