Android Runner Application with good user interface

I was working on an android project for last 2 months as a research project for masters in computer science . The requirement of the project is basically to

1) track a user when he is running and plot the track on the google map with different colors depending on the speed of the user

2) Plot the different graphs (2D , 3D or animated) showing user the statistics like

duration v/s distance ,

popouse of run v/s maximum speed

etc , etc

3) to do the J-Unit testing of the application

I am a beginner in android programming and the project on which i was working was implemented with google API v1 and i was not aware of that , When i registered my application with SHA 1 to get the API key , the API key which I got was not compatible with my solution because all the methods were depricated So i thought to switch my code to google API V2 and i found that all the methods like overlay ,geo points, the classes and most of the stuff is not available now , so i find it very difficult to switch to API V 2 , But i want the solution to be in API V 2 and the source code which i have can only serve as the idea to implement because of the classes and functions are depricated.
