I have a Access database in the 2003 format and I want to convert it to 2007. It's my understanding top do this I have to actually recreate the database in the 2007 format. I also have a few changes I want to make at the same time. 1. Open full screen 2. Remove the switchboard and add those functions to the main page 3. Make login passwords visible in the admin user 4. Create a materials page that adds up all the cost of materials for each record 5. Add drop down menus wherever possible about 10 drop downs 6. Add calendar drop down to a date field on a form if possible

I have designed lots of database software using MS Access, Excel with custom Forms, Queries, Reports and MS SQL linked databases etc. I convert this db from 2003 version to 2007. There are many benefits in upgrading your Access 2003 mdb to the latest format (.accdb) For example, the new format supports file attachments in your database. It's also optimised for web publishing should you eventually want to consider extending into an online environment. A great majority of my work involves upgrading Access 2003 databases into the later formats so I am very familiar with the process and the pitfalls.
