Hi. I am a physicist and medical doctor, finishing my PhD degree in theoretical neuroscience. I use programming in many languages and scripts. I sense the database part is just as important as the R part to clean up the code, I have extensive experience with both.
I was the principal investigator in a large regional epidemiological study on cancer risk with environmental and other anamnetic factors, that lasted several years until 2010. We used MySQL database, with about 10 dimensions to store data, the patient data was 1000+ record with 30+ columns, and with the environmental and other factors it resulted a complex multidimensional database, that had to be queried in various ways to provide subsets for analysis. The Queries, statistical analysis and images were done via the R language, so it is basically the same methodology to your project. Since I work with other fellow researchers, often publishing the code as well, documentation and standards in coding is natural for me.
If you feel that I am the right person for the job, feel free to contact me, and provide me with details to get to an agreement.
