Basic Final Exercise

This final project is now very simple and very basic. This course discussed some key system concepts underlying modern operating systems: 1. Virtualization - of the system hardware and environment - including the "CPU(s)", memory (multiple levels), I/O and related services, etc., and especially the scheduling of access to resources. 2. Concurrency - how the system manages multiple processors, processes, threads etc. 3. Persistence - how the system looks at files, and management of persistent data. Given what you now know, choose your next operating system, and explain why you made this choice. In your explanation, please consider and discuss your new O/Ss handling of overall system virtualization, concurrency, and persistence. part 2 Please implement your new OS, possibly as a virtual machine in AWS or elsewhere. Test it and see if you are happy with your choice. Did you benchmark it? What are the results. Submit a brief assessment report (minimum 500 words or so). Are you still happy with that choice? Include the answer at the end of the report.
