Connect a web application to a local SQLite DB, using knockout.js

We are developing a web app; one part of this app is a view implemented as HTML5 + vanilla js (see [login to view URL]) which already has a working connection (albeit to dummy data) via the knockout js library. Now we need to connect this view to the sqlite version 3 database [login to view URL], which will also be locally accessible. Opening the pre-populated database in chromium already works - to get it working, serve the page with a webserver (i.e. python -m SimpleHTTPServer), open it with chromium (i.e. http://localhost:8000/[login to view URL]), then close chromium and copy the supplied [login to view URL] file to the websql cache (possibly something like $(HOME)/.config/chromium/Default/databases/http_localhost_8000/6). Now reopen chromium and the [login to view URL] statements at line 330 should work. For details on what elements should be dynamically populated and the SQL queries to use, see the 1-page detailed specification freelancer_spec_rev1.pdf. Basically most of the work boils down to reimplementing the code in the change_node() function so that instead of calling [login to view URL] and loading the dummy data from the input/[login to view URL] files, it loads from the database. We will take care of testing.
