We have a multiple-choice testSimulator for Windows and Mac OS X written in Java. It needs some minor refinements to the interface, the current menu commands assigned to buttons and new user options added.
The testSimulator uses data stored in an XML file to create the tests. The data is split into modules, or categories. Module numbers can vary from 10--20. It has two modes: Study and Practice. In Study mode, user has access to answers on demand. In Practice mode, user hasn't got access to answers and, instead, is scored at the end of the test and can compare correct and wrong answers if they wish.
Currently, user has some control over the mock tests. They can set total number of questions in a practice test, the test duration and the passing score. We want to give user the option of including/excluding modules and specifying how many questions from each module should make up a practice test. Settings are currently set in 3 separate pop-up dialogs, these need to move to one pop-up dialog, which will also contain the new module options (see attached project file).
The code will be made available to the winning bidder, of course, along with an interface mockup and button graphics. A mockup of the new settings pop-up dialog is attached to give you a better idea of what the major change requires. A detailed change list will also be provided before you start work, so you know exactly what needs changing.
The source code, including any new lib files, need to be returned for compiling and testing with each major revision. You must also test before sending it.
Payment will be made on completion and testing of project. Please note, no partial payments will be made for an incomplete project.
Please bid only if you have time to complete project. We need the final code before the end of October 2008.
Thanks for your consideration.
