Project: To create an app and website for a niche religious/ethnic holiday calendar. Will open a facebook page and wish to integrate them all together with widgets etc.
The project includes two parts.
Part 1:
Build an app for reminders of certain religious/ethnic holidays for android and apple. Preferably able to integrate with calendars, so reminders pop up for users. To clarify there are holidays almost every day. So I want people to be able to see those holidays and if possible get an alert at the beginning of the day. This is an optional feature for the user so they can decline it. Otherwise some people may stop using the app because it is too much information. These holidays are static for the most part (same day every year) and a few will need to be tweaked on an annual basis. I will modify calendar manually at the beginning of the year.
Part 2:
Developing a website with the same calendar. I envision it searchable for the holidays. Example: if you search for Christmas a page comes up on my site with the date and a description of the holiday. I would like a blog on the middle of the page where I can insert important news items and pertinent writing. Also the ability to add advertisements is great.
Must have an email capture box to build email database.
Looking to integrate facebook page as much as possible with app and website. Will set daily holiday messages to post in the morning of each holiday. Looking to grow it with people liking facebook page and sharing the messages.
