A community website in Drupal-I have similar level experience. I have built a community website using Drupal Social modules (organic groups, heartbeat, flag, twitter, fboauth, user relationship, user details, user visits, user points, five star, service links, friendly register, private message, comment easy replay, invite, media and more.)
