Seeking a PHP/MySQL web developer to make amendments and additions to an existing Ireland based dating website for men and women seeking partners. The website is a members-only website with a paypal and stripe monthly paid subscription model. We have an extensive database on MySQL which needs to be secure so you will need to have excellent knowledge on MySQL as you will be required to make changes additions to this website. You will need to have Excellent design skills as we need to improve the design of our website as per the recent recommendations of our members. The new features we need to add to our website will include; linking this website to Twitter/Facebook and Pinterest. Our users will need to be able to share/promote their profiles on these social websites and be able to find and invite their friends/followers from Facebook and Twitter. You will also need to be able to set up a user setting that would allow users to choose when and what emails they receive from us. You will need to be able to create an alert section in the website to let the user know when details of a potential “date” is updated. After we short-list our favourite candidates, we will give you access to our website servers and code where and we can discuss the full project description in detail. You will need to assess our code and confirm that you can complete this project before you are awarded this project. Please reply to confirm why you should be short-listed as we can not give everyone access to our code and servers. In your proposal please state how many years experience you have with PHP/MySQL as the first sentence (If you do not do this, we will not consider your proposal). We have had our website hacked a number of occasions due to SQL injections and other vulnerabilities. If you know how to make a website secure against these and similar vulnerabilities, this will be looked on favourably in your application. We currently have 8,500 users on our website and growing strongly which has caused our website to crash a few times. If you know how to configure Amazon AWS servers to handle our growing user base, you will be looked on favourably.

With more than 5 years PHP/MySQL experience coupled with my understanding of how to avoid sql injection, which by the way is simply a case of cleaning user inputs, I would be happy to take this task on for you. Your suggestion to use AWS would be something I could take on, but could I point out a couple of things here. Firstly assuming your website crash was caused by workload, AWS may not be your only option, code efficiency and or query optimisation could be a solution. Secondly should you still wish to pursue the AWS route, you may still need the afore mentioned changes to allow the flexible scalability of AWS to grow cost effectivley. Social media integration is something else I have experience in. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
