We want to build an online web app that will help users Instantly Create Remarkable All Sizes (Animated) Web Banners. The app should be minimal in terms of design, straightforward and user-friendly.
Please check the template and animated banner examples files attached.
We are looking for programmers with experience in this field that have previously worked with image-manipulation and have a good understanding about quality/compression when working with images. Would be great if you could show an example of your previous work in which the output is an app-generated image or GIF.
The app will collect input from the users and deliver a set of banners. The banners can be static or animated and we need you to send 2 different quotes: one for the static version and another for the animated version.
There are 3 inputs we will collect from the users:
• Text * (mandatory) [max 75 characters]
• The text for the Call to action Button [max 15 characters]
• Logo / Image Drag and drop / browse upload
Once the user starts adding input, the elements should be visible on the banners. (The user can go back and forth between them via a Tab system allowing him to easily switch between the input forms. We will produce and upload a mock-up for this).
The user should also be able to control:
• Text - background color
• Text - font color
• Text - a part of the text that can be highlighted (so that font color/ background color are inverted – like in the attached example)
• Button - background color
• Button - font color
• Button - background color of the button zone (read below about the zones)
• Logo - background color for the logo zone
Ideally the user could use a ColorPicker tool to select his corporate identity colors from the logo he uploads.
NOTE : There will be a default style (color, fonts, buttons, logos) so that by only entering a text, the banners will be instantly displayed in an attractive way.
The Logo and Button will be optional for the user - so we’ll have some default elements (generic logo & button) to display there in order to keep the right proportions for each banner.
After tweaking the content and appearance, the user must pay for the banner set (through Paypal).
Once the payment is made, the user is returned to a download page where he gets the banners.
What’s happening in the back end?
Basically each banner is composed of three main areas (please see the Banner Template attachment):
For each banner size, the width and height of these areas will be set in advance.
Example, for a 300x250 banner:
Logo zone - 300x90
Text zone - 300x90
Button zone - 300x70
When a user enters a banner element (let’s say the text), it will be placed instantly by our app in it’s corresponding area.
The app will process each of the elements so they will fit properly:
Logo
Can be scaled up/ down to fit it’s space
Should be centered both vertically and horizontally
Text
To fit the space the app might
Change (+/-) the font size
Change (+/-) the space between letters (letter-spacing)
Change (+/-) the space between lines (leading)
Should be centered both vertically and horizontally
Words can not be split!
The whole text should have the same font size & spacing!
Button
Change (+/-) the font size
Change (+/-) the button size
Should be centered both vertically and horizontally
Output
The user will be able to download the banner pack as static and as animated individual files for all the banners in the set.
Each banner (static or animated) should be less than 40 KB and have good quality. (please see the example in the attachments)

I received a lot of proposals from people who didn't even bother to read the description. 8 proposals in the first minute after posting!!! It's not even enough time to read the brief. Don't be bothered by these freelancers, it doesn't matter how many proposals I get. 99% of them I won't even consider. If you have experience in this field, send me an example and I'll work with you.
Addition about the Lading Page and banner sizes:
Landing Page: One Page APP Landing page stating the value Proposition: “30 Seconds (or Instantly) Remarkable All Sizes Animated Web Banners”
The landing page will display beautiful animated banners in 8 sizes based on the template we will use:
336x280, 300x250, 728x90, 160x600, 468x60, 120x600, 250x250, 200x200 (please see the 3 size banners file attached as an example).
More banners sizes can be added later.
Future Developments:
Please don’t quote for them, but where in doubt between many options you can choose the one that will make easier to accommodate these:
- option to upload a picture in the background. So the user uploads an image that will serve as a background (resized and in certain places for each banner size) for all banners (sure - all the background colors will be then set to transparent)
- option to choose between different animation effects
- option to choose between different banner templates
- option to re-arange elements on the banners etc..
- option to save in different formats
- option to save layered editable files (.PSD)
