We need one or two cartographers to help us create shapefiles with ArcGIS, to define building footprints on aerial photography. This is an on-going part of our cartography business, so this proposal is for your hourly rate, and the amount of time each day you would be able to work on it. Please look carefully at the requirements below. We need someone who already has a strong background in this area, and we’ll want to see some of the work you’ve already done. SOFTWARE: - You must have ArcGIS ArcView 8.x or 9.x SKILLS: - ArcGIS shapefile editing - ArcGIS advanced editing tools SAMPLE INSTRUCTIONS: - Set zoom level to 1:500 or greater - Rotate data frame view so that buildings are at right angles - Trace building footprints with advance editing rectangle tool - Merge overlapping polygons where necessary Please respond only if you have experience in this area, with a description of the work you’ve done. You'll also need Skype so that we can occasionally talk with each other. Hopefully this will turn into a long-term relationship. Thank you very much!

Hi, since the project details are vague, I would like to know more about the project - i.e. how many sheets need to be vectorized, will you provide aerial imagery, or we'll need to use available free data (google maps, yahoo maps, or virtual earth)?
