Connect to multiple Access Querys from within Excel

I need a better way to access multiple queries when I'm in excel.
In access I have several tables linked to csv files
I then manipulate that data using a variety of queries.
Finally, in Excel, i use the "get external data" wizard to access these queries and excel and and then place them in separate excel sheets in one excel file.
This should work and does only about 75% of the time. Looking online, i've seen other people complain about this.
The problem is it constantly bugs out. I think the problem relates to the fact that in one excel sheet i have different queries populating the different excel sheets. As a result, as each query accesses the db it ties it up and the excel tries to move on to the next query, but can't. I then get an error saying the db is read only and everything stops.
Solution: I think the solution is to use something outside of the excel wizard, maybe via odbc, and set it up to access each query, then release the db, and then move on to the next query and so on...
I'm open to suggestions and thoughts.
I can pay $30 for this project - with a $30 bonus if the solution permanently solves this problem.
