Please familiarize yourself with the attacked Excel Workbook, and message me with any questions you may have only after having done so. Example outputs will be useful for winning the bid.
The Sheet "Country List” contains a list of countries with their “birth” and “death” dates. These countries are found in the first column of the subsequent tabs. Annual data appears after the country column. Currently data (in 1’s and 2’s) has been entered.
I require a simple macro to update every sheet in a given workbook with zero's where there is missing data between a given date. More specifically, the following rules should be looped for all tabs:
1. If a country from "Country List" does not appear in the first column of the tab, add it
2. If a country is “dead” for a given year (i.e the current year is before its “birth” or after its “death”) then the country-year is left blank (null)
3. If a country is “alive” for a given year (identified in row 1 of each tab), and the year has data for any other country, each country must have data
4. If there is currently data for the given country-year, keep it as-is
5. If there is no data for the country-year, but both the country is alive, and the treaty has active participants, the country-year should receive a value of 0.
6. If a country is found that does not have a lookup value from the “Country List” sheet, it should appear in a summary output sheet.
