Hi there,
This is Bogdan from Romania. I'm a mechanical engineer specialized in the industrial robotic field. I'm also 3d designer, modeler and prototyper.
In order to achieve your goals, is necessary to re-think the bowl fundamentally, but also the spinner.
As for the required features, you enumerate, could be possible the following solutions:
- easy to manufacture: press forming and later immersion into teflon. (this will also require balancing: static and dynamic)
- easy to clean/replace: for cleaning is important the shape of the bowl. for rapid replacement, is about the bottom fixing system (should feature a quick release, snap fit for inserting, and tightening device)
- keep low vibration on substrate: the spinner has to have a bigger weight, the shaft should be precisely aligned to vertical, the coupling system (between bowl and shaft) to secure the bowl and self align it
- fume and air turbulence handling: it's possible to incorporate a kind of centrifugal turbine into the lip of the bowl, in such way that when the bowl spins, will evacuate the air.
These are only few ideas, and serves the iteration made in the project brief.
I could design the entire system if you're interested.
