Recently I worked on a RFM22B TX/RX modules that was sent to Spain to control the illumination of a pedestrian crossing. The electronics was connected to a motion sensor on each side of the lanes. When any of the motion sensors detect a pedestrian, the lights start blinking and a message is sent to the other pole to inform that its light must blink as well. The blinking of both lights is synchronized.
In this project I used 2 RFM22B, 2 electronic board with PIC24FJ128GA310 with a boot loader and a power mosfet to driver the lights, 2 motion sensors. The system is powered by a solar panel and a 12V battery. The light intensity is controlled via PWM and adjusted based on a LDR.
Besides that, I have a complete solution that was applied in the Chuck Pezoldt Park in Miami. This project uses xbee protocol and a gateway DIGI X4 Connectport. The communication to the gateway is made via GSM.
I have to know what you have already done in this project in order to complete the project, so, I would like to invite You to discuss the details of the project. We can talk via skype or exchange emails. Only after that I can estimate the schedule to have the project completed.
Best regards
Antonio Leite
