Hello,
I'm a native English speaker with a degree in English Language and Literature. In the past, I have worked as a personal English tutor and English teacher to children in France. More recently, I have worked online as a proofreader for a popular technology website, editing several articles daily. My past experience has given me a very good eye for detail when it comes to typing, reading, and working in any way with the English language.
I used to proofread articles daily from writers based in India, the US, and around Europe, so am comfortable with a wide variety of English styles and abilities. To be honest, I am also in need of money in order to support my family, which gives me a lot of motivation to succeed at any opportunity I am given, so I can assure you I'd give my all to complete this job in a rapid and reliable manner.
With regard to three of my favourite authors, in the deceased column I'd have John Buchan and C.S.Lewis. My favourite living author is Stephen King. Also, obviously I am from the UK and so spell words like "favourite" with a "u" but I am well-versed in US English from my hobby of reading and my past proofreading work, and so wouldn't have any trouble with that.
Many thanks for your consideration,
Mike Pedley
