A research and proposals to improve Job satisfaction level of IT employees in Hanoi

The objective of the research was to explore the Job satisfaction’s level of Information Technology (IT) employees toward their company. The research was implemented based on the theory of Job satisfaction of Smith et al (1969). A research used Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) method and examined the reliability Cronbach alpha, in order to develop and verify the measurement scale. It was conducted on a convenient sample of 120 IT employees in Hanoi. The result of the research indicated that the Job satisfaction measurement scale has 7 job components with 27 observed variables, including: Supervision, Training, Innovation & Promotion opportunities, Co-workers, Company trademark, Pay, Job pressure and the last one is Work. The result of the research showed that the component Company trademark is the only one component which has the biggest influence on the Job satisfaction level of Hanoi IT employees. That is to say, IT employees in Hanoi are mostly impacted by the company’s image and are absolutely proud of their company’s reputation. The significant of the research: The findings are objective and like a scientific basement, which adds new knowledge to help Board of Directors at IT companies in Hanoi to understand more about their IT employees, simultaneously, to provide new approaches to improve the Job satisfaction level of their IT-skilled members for an efficient and effective productivity.
