Hello all,
I need Copywriter to assist me with project;
1. Description of task
Direct B2B mail/flyer marketing. I am after someone who can assist me with creating sales letter that is not too pushy, more of editorial than obvious sales leet, but still one that would create leads. I would like letter that have sense of humour, great tagline (or taglines)
2. Background on company
Small graphic and web design studio. What sets us apart from the rest of the "big guns" out there is very similar to what you are doing over here - we are committed to micro and small businesses, and are able to cater to everyone’s budget; from single man plumbing company to a restaurant, office or manufacturer. There is a big gap in our city as design studio and agencies do not want those people as clients and see them as annoyance more than a clients, so most of this clients go to local print shops to get their "design" done. Nothing against local print shops but we have rarely seen any design coming out of those that is worth mentioning. Think of Apple's philosophy when they started out back in the 80's - Computers for the rest of us. We provide graphic and web designs for everyday people. Our taglines are "Great Designs. Great Prices. Period." & "It only looks expensive".
3. Audience description
As you have caught already in previous point, our targeted audience is micro business (one man band and home based business mums), small business and medium size business not ready to go to design agencies and definitely not ready for high fees. We are not the cheapest (and by cheapest meaning bad, amateur production) so that should not be USP, we would rather like to concentrate on getting great designs for in-house prices and ability to work with anyone’s budget. Since we are in Australia, letter needs to be appealing to Australian audience.
4. Principal purpose of the communication
Small business owners can now afford proper web & graphic design, without the usual cost that is associated with it.
Concluding thoughts...
Please do not hesitate to ask any questions that might help you to get better ideas if we have missed anything in this brief.
We would like to see samples of your work related to our needs; please don't send us articles you have wrote in the past - we would like to see samples of direct marketing pieces or alternatively, if you feel comfortable, submit part of the solution for this letter, just so we can check whether your writing skills fit within our project guidelines.
Thank you and looking forward hearing back from you!
