I'll be honest with you... Finding the right person to write and develop your brands content, can be as awkward as preparing for a blind date. You rarely know what to expect.
Believe it or not, even for someone like me (11 years of copywriting experience, worked on international campaigns, written TV spots), the process of finding the right type of client can be equally as challenging. You'd be surprised at how many businesses are unwilling to invest in effective content. {EFFECTIVE CONTENT: Helps your target audience move towards a desired action}
For many consumers, whether it be your slogan, 30 sec commercial, or even the verbiage you use to describe your products, it's their first (and sometimes last) impression of whom you are as a brand. Think about it... In your lifetime, how many 2nd chances have you had after a bad first impression? And why wouldn't you stack the cards in your favor by keeping your potential customer engaged from the very beginning?
That's why it's important to hire the right person, to help you "effectively" communicate your message to your target audience.
If you haven't guessed it by now, or haven't had your 1st cup of coffee, when I say "the right person," I'm alluding to me.
However, if you're simply looking for the lowest bid, ineffective "script filler" or someone whom can't even articulate why it is you should hire them, then WE are probably not going to be a good fit.
