Part (c) Both the OrderedLinkedList<> and SortedVector<> classes implement an ordered list search, however the search times observed for the OrderedLinkedList<> class are significantly worse. Discuss the reasons why this poor performance was observed. Part (d) The Vector<> class that we developed in Workbook Week 1 and Workbook Week 3 stores data in the same way that the List<> class provided by Microsoft.Net does, which has also been examined in this task. Interestingly, the times measured for loading/storing data in the Vector<> class are comparable to the List<> class, as expected, however the search time is substantially different. Discuss why such poor performance was observed in the Vector<> class and explain what changes you would make to improve the performance of the Vector<> class.

I currently work for a fixed income financial firm which is a high pressure high accuracy environment when it comes to dealing with number and in my case, code. I have been programming in .NET and the C# language for over 9 years now and part of my job is explaining to the partners what code I've written and why. Trust me, it's not an easy task, but it has really taught me how to communicate what my code is doing and why effectively. Also, I wrote of portfolio management system for the said company which extensively uses collections such List<>, SortedList<>, ObservableCollection<> etc. I have done performance tests on collections in order to use them correctly and effectively.

These is basic data structure questions that are currently asked at interviews. Even though I can guess what they're like from their names, I would like to see the code of SortedVector<> and OrderedLinkedList<> as well to make sure it's as expected.
