Temperature Controlled Fan You are required to design a system that controls the speed of a fan's rotation. The speed at which the fan rotates is determined by the ambient temperature, i.e. as the temperature increases, so does the rotation speed of the fan. The system makes use of a small D.C. Motor connected to a microcontroller via a H-Bridge configuration, so that the direction of the fan's rotation can also be controlled. As the fan rotates, a small disk attached to shaft of the motor passes through a photo interrupter, this device allows us to measure the number of rotations in a specific time, usually measured as Rotations Per Minute (RPM). The user of the system can configure the speed of rotation for a given temperature. This is achieved by using a 4x4 keypad, along with a 128x64 graphics liquid crystal display, to provide feedback to the user. The initial LCD layout is shown below when normally operating. Temperature Fan's Rotation 22C 2000RPM Enter Pin to Change System Parameters A four digit PIN number is required to gain access to allow the user to configure the system's parameters. The method adopted for entering the pin number, needs to be a non-blocking approach, as the motor's speed needs to be constantly monitored and controlled as a background task. As soon as the four digits have been entered, validation of the entered pin is required. If the PIN number has been entered incorrectly, an appropriate message needs to be displayed for 3 seconds before returning to the normal operation. A correctly entered pin, will display the configuration menu as below Please select one of the following 1. Change PIN number 2. Stop Motor 3. Start Motor 4. Change Direction 5. Configure Temperature vs RPM .................... Please read 'BRIEF' for more info. I have attached files which I have started which will provide the foundation of the work. The Menu section is almost complete. I have a basic scrolling cursor program which will need to be developed. I also have a program to show the temp on the screen. I used HEW ide, however this is not very well known, so any programming will have to be sent to me for testing. Deadline 7-10 days?

Hi, I read your project description and the attached files. You need to make a temperature controller with menu functions. This project requires a lot of patience and hard work. I have experience of more than 8 years in semiconductor industry doing SoC and building systems on board around them. I have build sytems for industrial as well as house hold automation. Some of the key projects were ultra low power mechanial switch, PC controlled DC Motors using serial/parallel port , Line following robot for industrial caariage etc. For this projects we need thermistor like LM35 or simmilar which will sense the temperature which will be converted to diital signal using A/D of microcontroller. Depeding upon keyed tempearture setting, and output of thermistor , microcontroller will change the dutycycle of PWM signal which will be driving H bridge driver to control DC motor. For further fine tuning of speed , output of ir led/sensor pair will detect the actual speed of dc motor and tuning can be done as closed loop system. With this high level plan, I feel myself as suitable match for your requiement and would like to put forward my proposal for it. Hope to work with you in successfully completing this project. Price can be negotiated if it's the only issue. What are the interfaces with the LCD screen, keypad, non-volatile storage, motor, interrupter, and thermometer? Are they low or high level? Which libc (if any) is available? Is there a specific C standard to which you need to adhere; or can we use C11? Are there security implication for the PIN code; or can it be stored in plain text?
