Hi msslife, The project is indeed very interesting. I love child process and synchronization coding. I have a similar project in the past, which was keyword search using multi threading and child parent process co-ordination. This is how I plan to do this project: Create two children process in the main process and make them sleep until the parent notifies them of the creation of the shared memory. When the child receives the signal from the parent, it would wake up and listen to a distinct pipe, these would be one way pipes, one for each child process. The pipe would be writeable by the parent and readable by the parent. Through this pipe the parent would then send messages to child read from the file and the child would read from the other end of the pipe.
