An open source application has a bug that hogs CPU not on initial drawing of some geometric figures, but on changing them - then the hogging continues also with no draw/change operations , find and solve it. It's all about this bug: [login to view URL] 100% reproducible on (at least Ubuntu [login to view URL] ...16.14) with Intel graphics om CPU's like i5-2430M and i7-4770. - (and similar+older) For some reason not reproducible on Nvidia graphics. (the *application* is hogging CPU, not a driver) also reproducible in VMWare you will need to install [login to view URL] and playback some telemetry data (random file attached) using the command: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] when apmplanner2 (the application to be debugged) recieves it - it'll automatically start displaying the data.

Hi, Could you pleqse provide some more details: - Did you try it with the latest Qt version the 5.6.0? - Did you try to use the QtWayland backend instead of X11? - Are you using Mesa as OpenGL driver if yes which version? regards Haithem
