I require an application to work with multiple instances of excel and have a simple interface. It may be written in C++, C, Visual Basic, or whatever you think can accomplish the task. The application will do the following: (1) Tell a currently running instance of excel to calculate the workbook (e.g. by sending an F9 key to the window), (2) detect when the excel application is finished calculating (this may take seconds to many hours), then go to next step: (3) tell excel to run a macro (e.g. by pressing F5 in the open module window) (4) detect when the macro is finished (less than a second) then go to next step: (5) loop back to step 1 if number of loops is less than X amount. I want you to design an application that does the above for multiple instances of excel. I prefer to have a single application control up to 32 separate application instances of excel, and run them simultaneously by executing the calculation commands and macro running commands. Please let me know if you can do this. I have attached an example of an interface for such an application. (NOTE: I do not want a full VBA workaround. The calculation trigger must not be executed from VBA.)
Have perfect experience with Excel automation, So probably can solve it best way for you.
I propose c# since it is most reliable and easy to support for now.
Sincerely,
Vlad.
